DJ Italiani Giovani: dall’electro house alla techno minimal, dalla deep house alla drum and bass, innumerevoli sono i nomi protagonisti di un’attività così elettrizzante come quella del disc jokey che animano il popolo del clubbing. Alcuni più conosciuti altri più di nicchia.

La chiave del successo dei DJ Italiani Giovani non corrisponde solamente ad innate doti musicali; essa coincide anche con capacità mediatiche non indifferenti: trasformare il proprio nome in un brand capace di fare tendenza, competenze manageriali ed un pizzico di abilità diplomatiche.

Questo binomio si è perfettamente fuso nei nomi di molti dj italiani giovani che stanno spopolando nei locali. Ecco cinque nomi che abbiamo scelto per voi.

Lady Coco

Lady Coco, nata a Londra nel 1979, è una dj, autrice e produttrice di talento, infervorata da una passione che ha preso piede fin da giovanissima. Nel 1997 il quartiere di Brooklyn fu galeotto dell’inizio della sua storia con i vinili, amore che con il passare del tempo non ha mai abbandonato. Innumerevoli persone battono le mani a ritmo della sua musica; moltissime le serate che hanno ospitato il suo talento sia in Italia sia in Europa facendola diventare una delle più interessanti dj italiani giovani.

Il suo estro verrà successivamente scoperto dalla televisione e dal teatro: diviene consulente musicale ed autrice per la Rai e Radio Centro Suono 101.3; poi rinforza la collaborazione artistica con Sabina Guzzanti. La loro sinergia ed il loro legame hanno portato alla luce nel 2012, ad “Un Due Tre Stella“, programma satirico andato in onda su la7 in prima serata. Produttrice fin dal 2010 del gruppo musicale Balsamo di Scimmia, collabora con loro rendendo il loro sound personalissimo e all’avanguardia.

T.I.N.A.

T.I.N.A., 32 e nata a Tempio, ha trascorso la sua infanzia tra i vinili ed i mixer del padre. Sound designer professionista anima i suoi dj set con uno stile electro french touch, indie dance e g-house.

E’ tra i dj italiani giovani più ricercati per alcune delle manifestazioni internazionali più importanti nell’ambito musicale, tra queste anche il Sensation White al quale ha partecipato come ospite di Radio Deejay. Il suo talento è stato inoltre, uno dei protagonisti del programma televisivo “Top-DJ” nel 2013.

Manuel Rotondo

Manuel Rotondo, classe 1986, nasce in Svizzera e cresce a Roma dove ha lavorato per più di 10 anni. La passione per il mixer comincia a 14 anni; ha frequentato diverse accademie di musica e spettacolo, tra cui la P.A.C.S. di Stefano Jurgens, che gli ha permesso di lavorare al fianco di nomi noti come il maestro e direttore d’orchestra Roberto Pregadio, il compositore e arrangiatore RAI Marco Tiso, Pier Francesco Pingitore, Massimo Turci e molti altri.

Nel 2006 partecipa alla manifestazione del gay-pride affermandosi come dj resident del Gloss e Radio Londra, e successivamente anche del Gay Village e del GIAM. Il successo esplode attraverso la partecipazione a “Top-DJ” che lo consacra al successo nazionale, supportato da alcuni dei producer e djs più importanti dell’ambiente (e non solo). Con lui i dj set sono caratterizzati da un sound tech-house, house e techno; le sonorità mutano quando i suoi lavori vengono utilizzati per diventare le fondamenta musicali di fashion show e fashion events mostrando la sua versatilità e preparazione, tale da essere uno dei dj italiani giovani più interessanti.

Milla De La Soul

Dalla chitarra classica alla consolle: Milla De La Soul DJ, diplomatasi al Conservatorio di Adria e poi parte di rock bands come bassista per anni, si avvicina al mixer nel 2007, a 21 anni, insieme a due amiche. Le Strulle (questo il nome scelto dal trio) iniziano la loro attività al Renfe di Ferrara, locale nel quale Milla è ancora resident dj.

Sonorità aggressive e ritmi taglienti sono quelli che caratterizzano le playlist firmate da Milla. I suoi DJSet riescono ad incendiare le piste di tutta Italia, fino a raggiungere anche una delle realtà LGBT più importanti del palcoscenico internazionale: il Circuit di Barcellona. Di diritto tra i dj italiani giovani più interessanti, è sicuramente una delle deejay da non perdere di vista.

Pagano DJ

Francesco Pagano, in arte Pagano DJ, è italiano d’origine, ma la sua passione (ed il suo lavoro) lo hanno portato ad espatriare a Londra da qualche anno. E’ uno dei dj più in voga nell’ambiente gay londinese.

Nel corso degli anni le produzioni ed i remix di Pagano DJ hanno raggiunto la top ten delle classifiche dance ufficiali nel Regno Unito, Stati Uniti, Germania e Italia mantenendo, essendo uno dei dj italiani giovani più di spicco, alta la reputazione che la musica italiana ha nel mondo. Il suo dj set si compone di musica house, techno e tech-house.

Young Italian DJs: the names of the protagonists of such an exciting profession as that of the disk jockeys, who enliven the clubbing people and move from electro house to techno minimal, or from deep house to drum and bass, are countless. Some of these names are very well known, while the others are niche.

The young Italian DJs’ key to success does not consist exclusively in possessing a natural ear for good music; it also corresponds to a brilliant use of media, the ability to turn your name into a successful brand, management skills, and an inch of diplomacy.

This perfect combination is associated to the names of many young Italian DJs, who are becoming very popular among several clubs. Here are the five names we have chosen for you.

Lady Coco

Lady Coco was born in London in 1979 and is a talented DJ, composer and producer, who has always been inspired by her great, lifelong passion for music. In 1997, in Brooklyn, she fell in love with vinyl records; a love she has never forsaken, and in that moment her adventure began. Countless people clap their hands to the beat of her music; innumerable events have hosted her talent, both in Italy and Europe, making Lady Coco one of the most interesting young Italian DJs.
After her first performances on stage, TV and theatre discovered Lady Coco’s flair: she began to work as a music counselor and composer for Rai and Radio Centro Suono 101.3, and reinforced her partnership with Sabrina Guzzanti. In 2012, their synergy has led them to “Un, Due, Tre Stella”, a satirical TV program, which was a primetime show broadcast by La7. She has been the producer of the band “Balsamo di Scimmia”, joining them in the creation of a very personal and avant-garde sound.

T.I.N.A.

T.I.N.A, who is 32 and was born in Tempio, grew up around her father’s vinyl records and sound mixer. T.I.N.A. is a professional sound designer and enlivens her DJ sets with an electro French touch, indie dance and g-house style.
When it comes to international main musical events, T.I.N.A. is one of the most sought-after young Italian DJs; she took part in one of these events – Sensation White – as a Radio Deejay’s guest. Besides, she was one of the protagonists of TV program “Top DJ” in 2013.

Manuel Rotondo

Manuel Rotondo, class 1986, was born in Switzerland and grew up in Rome, where he has worked for more than 10 years. His passion for the sound mixer developed when he was 14; he studied in different music academies, such as Stefano Jurgens’ P.A.C.S., which led him to work side by side with well-known professionals like director and orchestra leader Roberto Pregadio, RAI composer and arranger Marco Tiso, Pier Francesco Pingitore, Massimo Turci and many others. In 2006 Manuel Rotondo partook in the Gay Pride Parade established himself as the resident DJ of Gloss and Radio Londra and – at a later stage – of Gay Village and GIAM as well. He achieved a remarkable success after having taken part in “Top DJ”, which guaranteed him national success thanks to the support of some of the most important producers and DJs of the music environment (and beyond). Manuel’s DJ set is characterized by a tech-house, house and techno sound; the acoustics change whenever his presence is required for fashion shows and events, showing his versatility and skills, which make him one of the most interesting young Italian DJs.

Milla De La Soul

From classic guitar to console: Milla De La Soul DJ graduated from Andria’s Conservatory, played the bass in several rock bands for years, and after that she approached the mixer around 2007, when she was 21, together with two friends of hers. “Le Strulle” (this was the name chosen by the trio) began to play at Renfe, in Ferrara, the club where Milla still works as resident DJ.
Milla’s playlists are characterized by aggressive acoustics and a sharp rhythm; her DJ set inflames many dance floors all over Italy and has also reached the international stage at one of the most important LGBT events: Barcelona’s Circuit. Milla is definitely one of the most interesting young Italian DJs, we’re looking forward to her future achievements.

Pagano DJ

Gabriele Pagano, AKA Pagano DJ, was born in Italy, but his passion (and his job) led him to London, where he has been living for a couple of years. He is one of the most popular DJs in London gay environment.
Over the years, Pagano DJ’s remixes and productions have reached the official dance music top tens in the UK, the USA, Germany and Italy. As an Italian DJ, honoring the high reputation of Italian music all over the world. His DJ set is characterized by house, techno, and tech-house music.
