Cosa cercavo? Un terreno fertile per le mie radici.

Troppe persone fanno voti a esistenze prescritte.

Decisione dell’ultimo minuto, biglietto aereo, valigia, via.

Ho visto me.

Grazie.

[divider]ENGLISH VERSION[/divider]

There are fires of annihilation and fires of joy. The former ones are of decimation, the other ones of transformation. And seven months ago I chose the fire of transformation.

It was like an awakening, a wild joy.

I was leaving for a distant land I knew very little about, except for that continuous call.

It was a different city, a crossroad for the whole world.

What was I looking for? Fertile ground for my roots.

Too many people devote themselves to predetermined existences. Some of them are destined to remain, other find an evolution outside.

I decided to leave, since in that moment I had not entrusted my young life to “don’t move, don’t get, don’t take, don’t become” yet.

It was a last minute decision. I booked a flight, packed my stuff and left.

I left the house I grew in, my streets, my dance, my bar, the people I loved, the people I missed, people who disappeared and came back, everyday faces, the friends of a lifetime and a black, tiny she-wolf that is the other half of my heart.

London welcomed me grey, but full of lights.

This variety gives off what you have inside. It is a condition of hambre del alma, an implacable hunger. There are people to observe, scrutinize, admire.

In London I started from myself, from everything I had inside.

I had my resources, my stocked energies.

I looked for, I found my new tribe.

Almost all of them came from my land. We were a big family, while I learned the trade of autonomy.

I worked hard and then gave myself a shopping day.

It is your work, your new house.

I provided my own self everything I have.

It is hard to build a life abroad.

It is hard but illuminating, now I know everything I can do.

This reality purifies you from everything helping, influencing, advising you.

You start back from yourself in a conscious rebirth.

Thinking back to my days just a few months before, I managed to read my life back like a clear and flowing big book. I saw pictures portraying me. I saw me.

And I noticed the change.

Being back to my hometown for a few days made me feel different. My former worries looked like faraway ideas. What I did not appreciate before looked sweet and vital.

I understood the importance of hugs, greetings set forth by the heart.

I noticed that wherever I was, I was with myself always and in any case.

And I like it.

London ripened still unripen fruits.

It made me grow up as a housewife, as a friend of myself, as a worker, as a new explorer.

It made me get lots of “thanks” by new people not speaking my language, grateful for the light they were seeing.

It made me meet a smiling love.

It built what I am now.

At this very moment, I am sitting on a big, soft and white bed in a room lightened by the sun, in a big and gorgeous house, with a light wooden floor and a glass door overlooking a flowered garden.

At this very moment, I am thinking that I am doing a job I like, that I live in a gorgeous house with the man I love, that I am happy and that there is nothing I need.

Thank you.
